Women's Ministry

Women delight in friendship!  They are wired for relationship and the 'girlfriend thing' seems to be woven into their DNA.  When women get together their potential is amazing.  Laughing, talking, learning and loving come naturally, and even crying together can bring forth hidden gold.  Create a positive environment and women flourish-and when women flourish the world around them also flourishes.  Our desire is to provide opportunities for our gals to spend time together and build lasting friendships!

Women's Breakfast- June 23, Aug 18, Oct 20 and Dec 15.  These are times to feed our bodies, our spirits and our relationships.  For more information contact Patti Rose or Vicki Lippincott.

Special Women's Events- Rachel Wizeman and her team, Anne DeRooy and Kelly Rogers, will organize events throughout the year that include worship, fun, and creativity.  Just another way for us to gather and get to know each other in a fun, positive way.

Mentoring- This is based on Titus 2:3-5 and is for women of all ages for encouragement, guidance, listening, laughing and loving.  To learn more about this budding ministry contact Kelly Lee, Nicole Reuter or Jill Hansen.

Hospitality- Meals for the body- sign up to help serve the body in a practical way:  To serve new mom's, contact Jill Hansen; those who are sick or just out of the hospital, contact Kelly Lee.

Card or Visitation Ministry- Patti Rose is organizing people who would like to write cards of encouragement for those among us who are ill, home-bound or just need a little extra encouragement.  Also we have some in nursing homes who would enjoy a visit from time to time.  If you are available, please let Patti know that too.

Encouragement in the Word- Patty Peglow leads a Monday morning Bible Study to help us grow deeper in the word of God at Zion Fellowship.  Ann VanSanten would like to minister to those who have special needs or are care givers of those with special needs.  This would be a support group that would meet in her home.  Vicki Lippincott is doing a 6-week study on Sunday mornings between service (9:30-10:15 child care available) on Navigating Life's Storms.

Women's Retreat- We are planning a fall Women's Retreat so women can get away with God and other women for the purpose of growth, encouragement and refreshment. Details of this will be available soon.
